Milton Menace Preview: Menace at Toronto Patriots, February 3, 2024
The Milton Menace are looking for their fourth straight win as they head to Westwood Arena on Saturday to take on the Toronto Patriots.
The Menace beat the Leamington Flyers 4-3 on Thursday night. The tight game went to overtime, where the Menace claimed victory. Owen Kindree opened the scoring in the first period on the power play. The Flyers put up a pair of goals before Graeme Macauley tied it up ahead of the first intermission. The second period went scoreless, and Nick Wereha gave Milton the lead in the third. Leamington tied it up, and the score stayed that way until the end of regulation. It was Kindree who was the hero, scoring his second goal of the game 5:51 into overtime.
The Patriots also played on Thursday night, falling 6-3 to the Brantford 99ers. They’ve gone 3-3-2-0 in their last 10 games and sit eighth in the West Conference. The Menace and Patriots played each other twice in October. Toronto took the first game 7-5, followed by a 3-2 Milton win. After Saturday, they’ll play once more on February 21st.
Captain Connor Driscoll continues to lead the Menace in scoring with 22 goals and 46 assists for 64 points in 39 games. He is on a five-game point streak with 10 points in that stretch. Driscoll and the Menace will look to continue to be an offence threat, something they’ve been successful at all year. They have scored 186 goals and have a +62 goal differential on the season. They sit third in the league in both categories.
The game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Toronto. If you aren’t making the trip to the game, be sure to stream the game on FloHockey. You can also follow along on the Menace’s social media accounts for game updates.
