Milton Menace Preview: Menace at Georgetown Raiders, February 7, 2024
The Milton Menace are looking to continue their winning ways when they head across Halton to play the Georgetown Raiders on Wednesday. This will be their first of three games this week.
The Menace have won four straight games, including Saturday’s 4-1 win over the Toronto Patriots. After a scoreless first period, Owen Kindree put the Menace on the board. Less than two minutes later, Isaac Barrett scored to give Milton a two-goal lead. Nick Wereha scored early in the third period, and although Toronto scored their first of the game under a minute later, they could not come back from the deficit. Justin O’Donnell scored on the empty net to seal a 4-1 win for Milton. Forbes Anderson made 29 saves in the win.
The Raiders have won their last two games, as their most recent win came on Saturday against the Mississauga Chargers. They are 5-4-1-0 in their last 10 games. Georgetown sits sixth in the West Conference with 51 points and a 23-18-1-4 record.
Milton is 33-9-2-0 this season and are second in the West Conference with 68 points. With each point recorded, they inch closer to clinching a playoff spot. Milton has won all three games against Georgetown this season and will be looking to sweep the season series on Wednesday. Their last meeting was less than two weeks ago when the Menace beat the Raiders 4-2. That game saw Milton score while on the power play and short-handed, as well as the historic goalie goal from Glen Crandall. The Menace will look to bring the same energy to this one.
Wednesday’s game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. from Mold Masters Sportsplex. If you aren’t making the short trip to cheer Milton on, stream the game on FloHockey. You can also follow along on the Menace’s social media accounts.
