Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs Niagara Falls Canucks, February 11, 2024
The Milton Menace are back home on Sunday after five straight road games and are in search of a win over the Niagara Falls Canucks.
The Menace are coming off a 4-3 loss to the Burlington Cougars on Friday night. The game was back and forth, and all but the first goal came on the power play. Although Burlington scored first, Milton tied it up by the end of the period with a goal from Ivan Fabjan. Joseph Macchione scored in the second, but his goal was met with two from Burlington, giving the Cougars a 3-2 lead heading into the third. Burlington scored again early in the final period to take a two-goal lead, and although Fabjan scored his second of the game, it wasn’t enough to tie things up. They will look to get back in the win column on Sunday after back-to-back losses.
Niagara Falls is playing their third game in as many days. They fell 4-3 to the Leamington Flyers on Friday and 7-1 to the Toronto Jr. Canadiens on Saturday. They are on a four-game losing streak and sit 10th in the West Conference with a 14-32-0-1.
Milton and Niagara Falls have met three times this season, with the Menace winning each game. Sunday’s game will be their final one against each other this season. In their most recent meeting on January 14th, Milton won 7-3 on Niagara Falls’ home ice. The Menace have outscored the Canucks 14-6 in their season series.
Sunday’s afternoon game will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Milton Memorial Arena. Make sure you grab your tickets and hit the stands to cheer on the Menace. If you can’t make it out, stream the game on FloHockey or follow the Menace’s social media accounts for updates.
