Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs Georgetown Raiders – November 24, 2023

It’s Pink in the Rink in support of the Canadian Cancer Society at the Milton Memorial Arena on Friday night. The Georgetown Raiders are heading across Halton to take on the Milton Menace.

The Menace have won five straight games and will look to keep things rolling after Wednesday night’s 7-3 win over the St. Michaels Buzzers. Milton’s goals were scored by Alexander Siletsky, Evan Grobanopoulos, Issac Barrett, Madden MacDougall, Justin O’Donnell, Owen Kindree and Graeme Macauley. MacDougall’s goal was his fourth in five games and the power play saw continued success as O’Donnell and Kindree’s goals came with the man advantage. Milton goaltender Ariel Zaslaver made 18 saves in the win.

Georgetown has found their groove and are also coming into this game off of five straight wins. Their last game was a 7-1 win over the Caledon Admirals on Saturday. They’ve scored seven goals in back-to-back games, proving their offence can be a serious threat.

Georgetown and Milton have already met once this regular season. The Menace shut the Raiders out 3-0 on October 7. The Raiders sit fourth in the West Conference with a 15-7-0-3 record and are just five points behind the Menace in the standings. The 18-4-2-0 Menace are six points behind the conference-leading Collingwood Blues.

The points from Friday’s game will be important to the standings, so the Menace will want to play a clean defensive game, limiting the Raiders’ chances where possible. Georgetown has their scoring coming from various places in their lineup, meaning Milton will need a full team effort to win this game.

Friday’s Pink in the Rink game will feature a silent auction and other exciting events in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Grab your tickets to come to the Milton Memorial Arena to

cheer on the Menace and be a part of this special night. The puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The game will also be available on FloHockey if you can’t be there in person.
