Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs Stouffville Spirit – November 26, 2023

The Milton Menace’s four-game homestand will come to an end on Sunday when they welcome the Stouffville Spirit to town. The Menace are looking for their seventh win in a row.

The Menace have seen great success in November, which continued on Friday when they beat the Georgetown Raiders 7-4 at their Pink in the Rink game. The Menace got down 3-0 in the first period but were able to score five in the second to take the lead. Goals from Joseph Macchione (2), Justin O’Donnell (2), and Alexander Siletsky made up the five. Macchione scored in the third to seal the hat trick, and Aidan Puley added an insurance goal. Connor Driscoll had three assists in the win.

Stouffville has lost two straight but has had over a week off to regroup. Their last game was a 3-1 loss to the Wellington Dukes on November 18. They have an 11-8-0-3 record and sit ninth in the East Conference.

Sunday will be the first and only meeting between Milton and Stouffville in the regular season as the Spirit are now in the East Conference. The Menace came out victorious in three of their four meetings last season. Expect to see the Menace hit the ice with speed to set the tone of the game on Sunday. After going down 3-0 on Friday, they will look to avoid that kind of start against the Spirit. Although they’ve shown they can come back from deficits, Milton will want to get on the board early to prevent having to play catch up.

Sunday’s puck drop at Milton Memorial Arena will come at 6:30 p.m. Be sure to grab your tickets and come out to the rink to support the Menace. As always, the game will be available to be streamed on FloHockey.
