Milton Menace Preview: Menace at Georgetown Raiders– October 7, 2023

The Milton Menace are staying local when they hit the road on Saturday. The team is heading to Mold Masters Sportsplex to play the Georgetown Raiders. Milton will be looking to extend their win streak to five games.

The Menace are back at it after a 4-2 win over the Jr. Sabres at home on Friday night. Madden MacDougall came up with another two-goal performance, and his second of the game tied things up in the second period. Gavin Sheehan and Justin O’Donnell scored in the third period to secure the win for the Menace. Ariel Zaslaver backstopped Milton to a win, making 14 saves.

Georgetown has gone 1-1 in October, falling 5-2 to Buffalo and then rebounding with a 6-3 win over Caledon on Thursday. The Raiders are just behind Milton in the standings with a 5-4-0-2 record. Even though it’s early, points always matter, and they will make a difference come the end of the regular season. These two teams met in Milton’s final preseason game and Georgetown came out on top of the 5-3 game.

In Friday’s game, Milton did a great job of limiting Buffalo’s shots and scoring opportunities. They will look to carry this style of play over to Saturday when they play Georgetown. Much like the Menace, the Raiders have seen offence come from up and down their lineup. The Menace must play strong team defence to minimize the Raiders’ open space and opportunities.

Head over to Georgetown to catch the game in person and cheer on the Menace or stream it live on FloHockey. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Mold Masters Sportsplex. Follow along on the Menace’s social media for game updates.
