The Milton Menace had a lot to be thankful for this past weekend.

Heading into the Thanksgiving long weekend, the Menace had two matchups on the schedule. The first of which was a home game against the Buffalo Jr. Sabres on Friday, October 6th.

It was a scoreless first period at the Milton Memorial Arena, and the Sabres opened the scoring in the second period. Madden MacDougall tied it up with his fourth of the season, assisted by Alessandro Petreccia and Alexander Siletsky. Former Menace player Dylan McFadden gave Buffalo the lead, but MacDougall tied it up once a game. It was assisted by Petreccia and Aidan Puley. The second frame ended tied 2-2.

The third period was all Milton. Gavin Sheehan scored his third of the year, assisted by Jayden Levesque and MacDougall. The Menace then sealed the game with an empty net goal by Justin O’Donnell, his fifth of the year. Aidan Taylor and Ivan Fabjan got the assists. The Menace won 4-2.

In net for Milton was Ariel Zaslaver. Through 60-minutes of action, he only saw 16 shots, stopping 14 of them for a .875% save percentage.

The second game of the weekend was on Saturday, October 7th. The Menace went into Georgetown to take on the Raiders.

Once again, the first period was uneventful from a box score standpoint. The scoring started in the second period with Alexander Siletsky netting his third of the year, with help from Justin O’Donnell and Ivan Fabjan. Fabjan then got a goal of his own, his fourth of the year, with help from the red hot Madden MacDougall and Owen Kindree. The Menace went into the final frame of their long weekend up 2-0.

The Menace put their foot down in the third period, stopping all attempts of a potential comeback by the Raiders.
Sett Ursomarzo added to the lead, potting his fourth goal of the season. It was assisted by James Jagodic and Alessandro Petreccia. Milton beat Georgetown 3-0.

It was the starter in net for Milton. Glen Crandall stopped all 30 shots on net for the shutout.

Next up for the Menace will be the Brantford 99ers on Thursday, October 12th. Puck-drop at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre will be at 7:30 p.m.

The Menace will return home on Friday, October 13th. They’ll take on the Toronto Patriots at the Milton Memorial Arena at 7:30 p.m. Milton Menace home tickets for this OJHL season can be found here.
