Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs Caledon Admirals, February 19, 2024

The Milton Menace will welcome the Caledon Admirals to town on Monday evening for a Family Day showdown.

Milton is coming into Monday off a solid team win over the Collingwood Blues on Friday. The Menace got ahead 2-0 in the first period with goals from Graeme Macauley and Connor Driscoll. The goal was Driscoll’s 25th of the season. The Blues stormed back in the second, scoring two goals to tie things up before the halfway mark. The game turned back in the Menace’s favour when Ivan Fabjan scored, followed by a second from Macauley to send Milton into the third up 4-2. In Blues fashion, they scored another two goals in the third to even the game at four per side. Gavin Sheehan scored with just over two minutes remaining in the third period to give the Menace the lead, which they ultimately held for a 5-4 win. In addition to his two goals, Macauley also picked up two assists for a total of four points on the night. Glen Crandall made 40 saves for Milton.

The Admirals have struggled to find wins this season and are 1-4 in their last five games. Their most recent game was an 11-2 loss to the Niagara Falls Canucks on Friday. They have an 8-37-5-0 record on the season and are 11th in the West Conference.

Monday will be the final meeting between the Admirals and Menace this season. The season series has seen two Menace wins and a tie. Milton won the most recent game between the teams on December 7th, 4-2. This is a crucial game for the Menace as they are looking to stay second in the West Conference and ahead of the Leamington Flyers, who also have 74 points.

The Menace are looking to make it four straight wins on Sunday when they hit the ice at 6:30 p.m. at Milton Memorial Arena. Grab your tickets and join the Menace for a great Monday night of hockey!
