The Milton Menace will be returning home this weekend undefeated.
On Monday, September 29th, the Menace went into Cobourg to play the Cougars at the Cobourg Community Centre.
It was Milton who scored first, with Gabriel Ciarallo netting his 4th of the year, unassisted. While the Cougars were able to respond quickly with a goal of their own, the Menace were able to get their back before the end of the period. Alex Spadafora nabbed his 2nd of the year, assisted by Andrew Giljanovic. It was 2-1 Menace after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, Cobourg tied things up on the man advantage. Milton was unable to match their firepower from the opening frame, getting just ten shots on goal compared 20 in the first period, leading to the game being tied 2-2 after two periods of play.
It was actually the Cougars who took the lead in the third period, but that didn’t last long. Less than two minutes later, Easton Lynds tied things up with his 3rd of the year, assisted by Ashtyn Pacheco. Milton then took back the lead with another solo goal from Ciarallo. The Menace then ran away with the game thanks to a pair of goals from Josh Currie. Milton beat Cobourg 6-3.
In net for Milton was Carter Froggett. He stopped 26 of 29 shots for the .896% save percentage and the win.
The Menace return home on Friday, October 3rd to play the King Rebellion at the Milton Memorial Arena, starting at 7:30 p.m. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
