Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs Toronto Patriots– October 22, 2023

The Milton Menace are back home on Sunday for another intraconference match-up against the Toronto Patriots. Sunday’s game will be a rematch of October 13, when the Menace fell 7-5 to the Patriots at home.

The Menace are back in the win column after a 4-3 road win in Oakville on Friday. Connor Driscoll picked up two goals, including one that came while the Menace were short-handed in the second period. The Blades came back and took the lead in the third, but Tristan Tremble and Nicholas Wereha scored goals less than 30 seconds apart to bring the Menace to victory. Glen Crandall made 44 saves in the win. Milton’s ability to make a comeback in the last few minutes of the game and leave with valuable points is certainly a bright spot to build off of going into Sunday.

Since the last time these teams met, the Patriots have gone 2-1, including a 3-1 win against Caledon on Saturday. The Patriots come into Sunday looking for their third straight win. Toronto currently sits four points behind Milton and fifth in the West Conference.

In their last meeting, Milton got down early, and although they got their offence going, Toronto kept the pressure on and held the lead. It will be important for the Menace to set the tone, start the game with speed and pressure and keep their foot on the gas until the finish. This will be a difference-maker when playing Toronto.

We want to see you in the stands, Menace fans! Grab your tickets and come down to the Milton Memorial Arena to spend your Sunday night with the Menace. The game is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be available to be streamed on FloHockey.
