Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs Aurora Tigers – November 19, 2023

The Milton Menace are back on home ice for a Sunday night showdown against the Aurora Tigers. The Menace will look to win their fourth straight game.

Milton comes into Sunday’s game off a 3-0 win in Leamington on Thursday against the Flyers. Madden MacDougall, Sett Ursomarzo, and Ivan Fabjan scored for the Menace. MacDougall and Fabjan’s goals came on the power play. Glen Crandall recorded the shutout stopping all 25 shots he faced. This was his third shutout of the season.

Aurora tied the Lindsay Muskies on Saturday at home. They are currently on a seven-game winless streak, as their last win came over the Niagara Falls Canucks on October 28. They currently sit tenth in the East Conference and have a 9-16-2-1 record. Sunday’s game will be the only meeting between these teams in the regular season. They met twice in the exhibition season, and Milton won both games.

If the Menace set the pace early, they can control the game. Aurora has recently struggled on the scoresheet, only scoring two goals in their last three games. They have also had a hard time keeping games close when their opponents get ahead. The Menace will need to capitalize on their opportunities and make it difficult for the Tigers to stay with them. Taking advantage of their chances will be particularly important on the power play as Milton’s dynamic offence has the potential to be a difficult match-up for the Aurora penalty kill, which ranks in the bottom five of the league.

Sunday’s game at the Milton Memorial Arena is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Grab your tickets and spend the evening with the Menace. If you can’t make it out, the game will be available to be streamed on FloHockey, and the Menace’s social media will provide updates.
