Milton Menace Preview: Menace at Leamington Flyers, Round 2 Game 4 – March 28, 2024

The Milton Menace are on the road to Leamington to take on the Flyers in game four of the West Conference Semifinal. The Flyers lead the series 2-1.

The Menace are looking to regroup after a tough 2-1 overtime loss in game three on Tuesday. In game three, the Flyers scored late in the first period to take a 1-0 lead. Jayden Levesque scored his second in as many games to tie the score at one in the second period. Alexander Siletsky and Markus Hicks picked up assists on the goal. The second period was all Menace as they outshot the Flyers 17-2 but were only rewarded with a single goal. The third period went scoreless, but the Menace continued to get their chances. The game went to overtime, and when it looked like they may need an additional period, the Flyers sealed the win with 1:13 to go in overtime. The final shots on goal favoured the Menace 52-31, and Glen Crandall made 29 saves.

Milton has yet to lose a playoff game in regulation during this run and has not lost two games in a row. The Menace had plenty of opportunities in Tuesday’s game but could not find the back of the net beyond their one goal. It will be critical to continue the good habits that got them the puck in game three as they look to tie the series. It can be deflating to perform well and not see results, but the Menace have to stick to their game, and the wins will come. The key to Thursday will be continuing the offensive pressure and getting the puck to the net as often as possible while holding Leamington away.

A road win will take a strong performance from the Menace, but if history is an indication, they should come out well. They have won each of their games in Leamington this season, which includes two regular season games and game two of this series. They will look to remain perfect on Leamington ice in game four.

Thursday’s puck drop is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. from the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre in Leamington. If you aren’t travelling to support the Menace, you can catch the game on FloHockey. The Menace will also provide game updates on their social media.
