Second-period surge lifts Milton Menace to convincing win

Local juniors enjoy balanced attack en route to dumping last-place Caledon

The Menace punctuated their last homestand with a decisive exclamation mark.

With five goals inside a 10-minute span in the second period, Milton improved to 33-13-0-3 on the season with a 6-1 victory over the last-place Caledon Admirals Friday at Memorial Arena.

Austin McKillop had a solid but somewhat easy night between the pipes, turning back 22 shots. His lone goal against came midway through the final frame.

Madden MacDougal put the Menace head with a shorthanded tally late in the first period, while also finding the back of the net were captain Graeme MacAuley, Owen Kindree, Ryder Cali, Tristen Tremble and Justin Dezoete.

Milton has a potentially busy Family-Day weekend, though their Sunday afternoon trip to Collingwood will likely get postponed due to the impending storm.

The Menace return to Memorial Arena Monday to host King. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
