Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs Oakville Blades – December 10, 2023

The Milton Menace will be looking for their 11th home win of the season when the Oakville Blades come down to the Milton Memorial Arena on Sunday.

The Menace have won two straight and are looking for a third after a win in Caledon against the Admirals on Thursday. Ashtyn Pacheco, Sett Ursomarzo, Aidan Puley and Connor Driscoll scored the Menace’s four goals. The Admirals got two back in the third, but it wasn’t enough to make the comeback. Thursday marked Driscoll’s third straight game with a goal and he leads the team with 14 goals and 25 assists for 39 points on the season.

The Blades took on the Chargers in Mississauga on Saturday, winning 4-0 to get back in the win column. This improved Oakville’s record to 15-8-1-2. The Menace and Blades last met on October 20 when Milton came out victorious, squeezing out a 4-3 victory in Oakville. Driscoll had a multi-goal game the last time they saw the Blades, and he will look to repeat that performance on Sunday. The Menace as a team will want to continue the offensive pressure that helped to score four goals on Thursday.

Oakville sits seventh in the West Conference, and they will use their games in hand to try and climb up the standings. The Menace still sit second in the same conference with a 21-6-2-0 record. They are two points ahead of the Leamington Flyers, but Milton has three games in hand. The Menace must use those games to build on their lead in the standings to try and tighten the gap between them and the Collingwood Blues for first in the conference.

Sunday night’s game is set to begin at 6:30 p.m., so come cheer on the Menace. If you can’t be there in person, the game will be available on FloHockey. You can also follow the Menace’s social media accounts for game updates.
