Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs Mississauga Chargers, February 23, 2024
The Milton Menace will look to make it six wins in a row on Friday when they welcome the Mississauga Charges to the Milton Memorial Arena.
Milton’s last game was a 6-2 win over the Toronto Patriots on Wednesday afternoon. Although the Patriots struck first, the Menace made a statement in the first period, scoring three goals. Joseph Macchione, Aidan Puley and Alexander Siletsky each picked one up. The teams exchanged power-play goals in the second period, with Sett Ursomarzo scoring for Milton. The third period was all Menace, and Alessandro Petreccia and Puley scored, bringing the score to 6-2. Glen Crandall made 28 saves to pick up his 24th win of the season.
The Chargers haven’t played since Monday when they lost 6-3 to the Patriots. They have lost 16 straight games, as their last win was December 23rd against the North York Rangers. They have a 4-44-0-4 record on the season and sit 12th in the West Conference. The Menace and Chargers have played three times this season, with the Menace taking each game. They have outscored the Chargers 20-7 over the three games.
The Menace have a 38-11-2-0 record and currently sit at 78 points. They are only two points away from breaking the franchise’s all-time points record. Although the Menace have already clinched the playoffs, with just five games remaining, they want to play strong hockey to keep their spot in the standings and create good habits ahead of the playoffs.
Puck drop from Milton Memorial Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. Grab your tickets, come cheer on the Menace and enjoy Menace Beach for one night only! If you can’t make it out, you can watch the game on FloHockey or follow the Menace’s social media accounts for updates.
