Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs. Mississauga Chargers– September 16, 2023
The Milton Menace are heading to Mississauga on Saturday to play the Chargers at Port Credit Memorial Arena. The Menace are looking to extend their win streak to three games.
The boys are buzzing after a massive 10-1 win in Caledon against the Admirals on Thursday. Aidan Taylor (3), Justin O’Donnell, Aidan Puley, Connor Driscoll, Ivan Fabjan, Marcus Tryfon, Sett Ursomarzo, and Jayden Levesque all scored in this one. Tryfon and Levesque grabbed their first career OJHL goals, while Glen Crandall made 18 saves in the win. Taylor’s hat trick was also the first of his OJHL career.
The Mississauga Chargers fell 6-1 to the Canucks in Niagara Falls on Friday, bringing their record to 0-3-0-0. Saturday’s game will be the first of four meetings between the Chargers and Menace as Mississauga looks for their first win of the season.
The Menace got their power play rolling against Caledon as the team went three for three with the man advantage. Their penalty kill successfully held off the Admirals in all of their opportunities. Special teams become a vital part of a team’s success throughout the season so it is encouraging for the Menace to see these positive outcomes in September. They’ll look to keep this pace as they head to Mississauga.
Saturday’s puck drop will come at 7:45 p.m. You can watch the game on FloHockey and follow the Menace on social media for game updates and extra coverage.
