Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs Toronto Jr. Canadiens – December 15, 2023
The Toronto Jr. Canadiens are coming to town on Friday as the Milton Menace look to win their fourth straight game.
The Menace are coming off a 3-2 win at home against the Oakville Blades last weekend. Although Oakville scored the lone goal of the first period, Connor Driscoll scored twice in the second to give Milton the lead. The Blades tied it up in the third period, but Sett Ursomarzo was the hero, scoring a short-handed goal with less than five minutes to go in regulation. The Menace held on for the win as Glen Crandall made 29 saves.
Toronto has won six straight games and shut out their last two opponents while putting up 13 goals in those two games. They sit second in the East Conference, nine points behind the leading Trenton Golden Hawks, and Toronto’s record is 21-11-0-2. Friday’s game will be the only meeting between the Jr. Canadiens and Menace this season, and in their one meeting last season, they tied 1-1. This game will be a good test for the Menace as the Jr. Canadiens are a strong team, especially offensively.
Driscoll continues to lead the team as their top scorer. He has been a key player in many ways, and his leadership has helped the team to a 22-6-2-0 record. He has scored five goals and seven points total in his last four games. He has 16 goals and 25 assists for 41 points in 26 games this season. Driscoll has only been held pointless six times and is eighth in the league in points per game.
Friday’s game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. from Milton Memorial Arena, so grab your tickets! The game will be streamed live on FloHockey. Be sure to follow along on the Menace’s social media accounts for game updates.
