Milton Menace Preview: Menace at Haliburton County Huskies – October 24, 2023
The Milton Menace are heading north for a rare Tuesday night game against the Haliburton County Huskies.
The Menace will look to continue their impressive winning ways as they visit the Huskies. Last Sunday, Milton beat the Toronto Patriots 3-2 on home ice, marking their second win in as many games. Connor Driscoll scored his fourth goal in his last three games, while Graeme Macauley and Aidan Puley each added a power play goal. Madden MacDougall picked up two assists in the win. Menace goaltender Glen Crandall made 33 saves, and the Menace put up 38 shots on Patriots’ goaltender Evan Maillet. Sunday’s win brought the Menace’s record to 12-3-0-1 on the season.
Haliburton County has won two of their last five games, including a 3-1 win over Trenton on Sunday afternoon. They have a 7-6-0-0 record in 15 games this season and sit tenth in the East Conference. Tuesday’s game will be the only meeting between the Huskies and Menace this season.
The Menace have seen great success on the road so far this season, and they will look to stay perfect when they hit the ice on Tuesday. They currently sit with a 7-0-0-0 record as the visiting team. They have been strong in all aspects of their game, especially their special teams units, which both have better records on the road than at home. Their penalty kill sits at 91.67% compared to 63.64% at home, and they sit at 39.13% versus 28.57% on the power play. Haliburton County has a 3-2-0-0 record at home. Their last home loss came on October 7 against Wellington. It will be up to the Menace to set the pace, control the game and find a way to leave with the win.
Tuesday’s game will begin at 7:30 p.m. at SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena in Minden. Catch the game on FloHockey or follow along on the Menace’s social media accounts for updates.
