Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs. Brantford 99ers – September 8, 2023
It’s finally time for puck drop in Milton! The Milton Menace will begin their season on Friday night when they welcome the Brantford 99ers to the Milton Memorial Arena.
These two teams met just a few weeks ago in an exhibition game at Sherwood Arena in Milton. The game ended in a 7-4 victory for the Menace. Newly appointed captain Connor Driscoll had three points in the win.
The Menace went 4-1 in the exhibition schedule after closing with a 5-3 loss to the Georgetown Raiders. They’ve had a week to regroup and prepare for the regular season opener.
Throughout the exhibition series, Menace returnee Ivan Fabjan led the way in scoring with six points in four games. Alessandro Petreccia contributed two goals and two assists in two games, while newcomer Madden MacDougall scored a goal and picked up three assists in three games.
Friday’s game marks the beginning of the Menace’s 2023-24 season and the quest for success. The team will look to improve on their 31-19-2-2 record from last season and build on their playoff appearance, which ended in the second round. The cast of new and returning Menace will look to develop chemistry and find their stride early in the season so they can pick up important September points.
Puck drop comes at 7:30 p.m. from Milton Memorial Arena. Grab your tickets and join us in the stands to celebrate the start of a new season! Friday’s game can be streamed on FloHockey.
