Milton Menace Preview: Menace at Brantford 99ers– October 13, 2023
The Milton Menace are heading to Brantford on Thursday to play the 99ers in a rematch of their home opener when the Menace fell 4-2.
When the 99ers and the Menace met on September 8 at the Milton Memorial Arena, Brantford went home with a win, souring Milton’s start to the season. Since that game, the Menace have dominated, losing just one game, bringing their record to 9-2-1-0. That loss came on September 26 at the OJHL’s Governor’s Showcase and the Menace have won five straight since.
Milton comes into the game off a 3-0 road victory in Georgetown on Saturday. Menace goaltender Glen Crandall stopped all 30 shots he faced, recording a shutout. Alexander Siletsky, Ivan Fabjan and Sett Ursomarzo all picked up goals for the Menace. Fabjan’s goal came on the power play, while Milton’s penalty kill was perfect.
Brantford is looking to get back in the win column after a 3-1 loss to Buffalo on Wednesday. The 99ers have won four of their last six games and sit seventh in the West Conference. Their record in their first 10 games is 6-4-0-0.
As we approach the quarter-mark of the season, the Milton Menace have proven that they are a force in the league this season. Milton ranks third in the league in goal differential, and while they have shown they can take a lead and run with it, they have also been able to stay in a tight game and pull out important wins.
The Menace will look for another dominant performance in this intraconference game on Thursday. The puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. at Wayne Gretzky Sports Complex in Brantford. The game can be streamed on FloHockey, and the Menace’s social media will feature game updates, so be sure to follow along.
