MILTON’S ANDERSON NEAR UNANIMOUS CHOICE FOR OJHL WARRIOR GOALTENDER OF MONTH

March 8, 2024, Mississauga, Ontario – The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) announced today that Forbes Anderson (Photo by Ray MacAloney / OJHL Images) of the Milton Menace has been named its Warrior Goaltender of the Month for February.

Anderson was a near-unanimous selection for the award in voting by the general managers of the OJHL, after posting a 1.50 goals-against average to go with a .950 save percentage. The Menace were 5-1-0-0 with Anderson in goal during the month. The wins included a 5-0 shutout of the Oakville Blades on Feb. 13.

The big 20-year old from Toronto has been in Milton for all five years of his junior eligibility. He signed with the Menace out of the Toronto Nationals U16 team in 2019.

Sergei Litvinov of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens was runner-up to Anderson as the Goaltender-of-the-Month. The 20-year-old from St. Petersburg, Russia went 5-0-0-0 during February, posting a 2.20 GAA and a .926 save percentage. Litvinov, who played three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League before joining the Jr. Canadiens this year, has been called up to the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League this season.
