Local juniors will look to rebound against red-hot Patriots Sunday at Memorial Arena

The Menace have been playing catch-up since the post season began – a role that now continues.

With just a single day’s rest from a seven-game comeback in the opening round against Burlington, Milton matched OJHL regular season champion Toronto in scoring chances but was doubled up 8-4 Friday to kick off the conference semifinals.

Alec Stewart and Brady Wassink gave the Menace first-period leads before the Patriots’ red-hot front-line attack took over – scoring three powerplay goals and extending their winning streak to 11 games.

Also finding the back of the net for Milton were Dallys Hibbert and Gavin Sheehan. Hayden Duncan backstopped the Menace through the third period after Austin McKillop got the hook at second intermission.

The Menace will look to rebound tomorrow night at Memorial Arena. Game time is 6 p.m.

Games three and four are set for Tuesday at Westwood Arena and next Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial.
