Milton Menace pull off weekend sweep over Toronto Patriots, Mississauga Chargers

The Milton Menace had a great finish to November!

On Friday, November 29th, the Menace welcomed in the Toronto Patriots to the Milton Memorial Arena. The Pats starting the scoring off, netting back-to-back goals just eight minutes into the opening frame. A minute later, 16-year-old Ryder Cali scored his 13th of the season, with help from newcomer Justin Dezoete and Captain Graeme MacAuley. It was 2-1 Toronto after 20 minutes of action.

In the second period, Tristan Tremble tied things up for Milton. His 4th of the year was assisted by Cole Semeniuk and Dezoete. It was 2-2 after two periods of play.

The Menace would jump out to a lead in the third period, with Madden MacDougall scoring his 8th of the season, assisted by Cali and Dezoete. They’d keep that lead to the end, winning 3-2.

In net was Austin McKillop. He stopped 32 of 34 shots, giving him a .941% save percentage.


The Menace had little rest as they had another game the next day.

On Saturday, November 30th, the Menace took on the Mississauga Chargers at the Port Credit Memorial Arena. Tristan Tremble started the scoring off for Milton. His 5th of the year was assisted by Gavin Sheehan and Cole Semeniuk. ‘Sauga would tie things up before the end of the period. It was 1-1 after one.

The second period was where the fun started for Milton. Ivan Fabjan scored on the powerplay. His 5th of the year was assisted by Luke Johnston and Ryder Cali. Mississauga tied it up, but then the floodgates opened. Ashtyn Pacheco scored his 9th of the season, assisted Semeniuk and Madden MacDougall. That was followed up by Nathan Catalano, assisted by Tremble and Marco Costante. Cali would get on the board at the end of the period, making it 5-2 Milton after 40 minutes of play.

Cali would score again in the third period, and Andrew Giljanovic would follow that up just 25 seconds later. The Menace would beat the Chargers 7-2.

Ethan Kowatsch was in net for the Menace. He stopped 28 of 30 shots, giving him a .933% save percentage.

A rematch between the two teams will take place on Friday, December 6th. This time, it’ll be at the Milton Memorial Arena. Game time is listed for 7:30 p.m. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
