The Milton Menace are holding their Prospect Camp this weekend.
It comes just over a week after the team lost in the OJHL Finals to the Trenton Golden Hawks. This past season was far and away the most successful year of the young franchise’s history.
With the NCAA lifting its longstanding ban on Canadian Hockey League (CHL) players, any hockey player who has played for the OHL, WHL, and QMJHL will now be eligible to compete in NCAA Division I hockey this year. That means Junior “A” hockey teams like the Menace will need to prioritize younger players through prospect camps, as well as older players unable to keep up in the higher level leagues. Milton has a history of finding difference makers through these camps, so they could very well find the next crop of Menace players.
The camp is taking place from Thursday, May 8th to Sunday, May 11th at the Milton Memorial Arena.
