It’s do-or-die time for the Menace.

With big gun Tristan Tremble out for another night, Milton’s post-season scoring woes resurfaced in Burlington Friday. Captain Graeme MacAuley gave the Menace a first-period lead before the Cougars turned the tables and prevailed 5-1 – putting a three-games-to-one stranglehold on first-round play.

Brody Leet and Brady Wassink assisted on Milton’s lone goal, while Austin McKillop took the loss.

Burlington scored twice just 18 seconds apart in the opening 1:05 of the second period and added three goals in the final 7:27 of the game – with a late empty netter adding insult to injury.

The Menace will look to stave off elimination when they host game five Sunday at Memorial Arena. Game time is 6 p.m.

If necessary, game six will be played Tuesday night in Burlington.
