The battle of North Halton still belongs to the Menace.
With a balanced attack and strong special teams play, Milton’s Jr. A club kicked off the 2026-27 campaign with their ninth straight win over the Georgetown Raiders – prevailing 7-1 last night at Memorial Arena.
Gavin Sheehan gave the hosts the lead less than five minutes in. From there, Nathan Catalano factored into the next four goals, scoring himself before setting up Alex Spadafora, Dean Deligeorgis and Don William Bristol.
Georgetown would break the shutout early in the third before Paul Mazanik and Chris Soares each scored and assisted on the other’s goal down the stretch.
Catalano and Bristol each finished with a goal and three helpers, while Austin McKillop was steady but largely untested in the win – stopping 22 Raider shots to Milton’s 51.
The Menace cap a two-game season-opening home stretch Friday at Memorial against Pickering. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Saturday night they’re in Aurora.
