The Menace made an explosive return to the win column Tuesday.

Following Sunday’s last-minute defeat at the hands of the Toronto Patriots, Milton – in a rare weekday afternoon clash – struck six times in the second period en route to dumping the Wellington Dukes 8-3 at Memorial Arena.

Madden MacDougall’s three-goal, two-assist game fuelled the lopsided affair, with the visitors adding two late goals once the verdict was long-since decided.

Luke Johnston tallied twice and added a pair of assists – extending his point streak to 17 games – while captain Graeme MacAuley had a goal and helped set up two others.

Rounding out the scoring were Justin Dezoete and Nathan Catalano.

Carter Bickler was between the pipes for Milton, turning back 30 shots for the win.

This lifted the Menace to 32-13-0-3.

Likely to finish third in the OJHL’s Western Conference, Milton closes out a three-game home stand Friday against the last-place Caledon Admirals. Game time, as always, is 7:30 p.m.
