The 20-year-old goaltender is the first commitment in Menace history. The team relocated from Newmarket a year ago.

The native of Sault Ste. Marie, ON joined the Menace from the Markham Royals of the OJHL Oct. 18. He played the previous two seasons for the Blind River Beavers of the NOJHL.

He played minor hockey in the Soo for the Greyhounds and Thunderbirds organizations.

With Milton, Boyonoski had a 3.34 GAA and .899 save percentage in 18 games.

“On the day he was traded to us, he drove in from Markham to Brantford and won it for us,” said Milton head coach/GM Dan Del Monte. “Each time he played he gave us much-needed confidence in net. He gave the boys and the team confidence. “

“His character and leadership in the room was something a young team like ours sorely needed. His never-quit, positive attitude was something that was invaluable in our room.”

Boyonoski will join fellow OJHL graduates Curtis Abbott (Brantford), Mike Keating (Mississauga) and Noah Holm (North York)in Morrisville’s freshman class this fall.

“My year with the Menace was great,” Boyonoski said. “It is a top-class organization that made me feel at home from Day 1 and allowed me to play at my best.”

“I chose Morrisville State because I fell in love with the campus and how small and gorgeous it was. I felt right at home from the moment I walked on.”

Congratulations to Garrett and best of luck in the NCAA!
